I am a Santa Barbara based product designer fueled by learning and curiosity. I lead with empathy, and design with advocacy to create holistic products.
But Why Design? I was born in Los Angeles CA to a mixed heritage family. I am first generation college student and first in my family to graduate with my Master’s degree. I grew up seeing the complexities of systems and how those systems can inherently and sometimes unknowingly influence your life’s trajectory. Things like your zip code, parent’s education level etc. I found myself in a career in Education in order to fix help those affected by the systems. Now, I serve as a product designer so I can use the principals of design thinking to design better systems that combat the complexities for populations that often go unheard.
Guided by advocating for users and their needs, I use my skills of research and data analysis to generate dynamic solutions to complex problems that face some of the most underrepresented populations. As a former educator, I am fueled by learning. Learning about the user, my team and the organization I serve. With this knowledge I thrive in helping make holistic products.
I reside in Santa Barbara where I enjoy practicing yoga, spending time in the and drinking all the coffee.
